The Urban Monk
Modern lives are being lived at a pace where to apply brakes is very difficult. And if we do apply brakes, it feels as if our lives will topple over. The inertia of urban lives is a state which has too much momentum. The Urban Monk is an initiative to help people slow down so that their minds can get calm and they can experience Life with better clarity. A monk’s life is a simple life, and, being empowered with the power of the present, a monk sees through life’s difficulties and moves with ease.
The Urban Monk’s life is in the hustle bustle of the noisy cities. He or she cannot avoid the urban life, but definitely can change the way he or she reacts to it. It is our endeavour to create a little community of like-minded and like-hearted people who will face life with the strength and calm of a monk without having to go in search of peace to the mountains. It is with this intent, we have developed a space for people to meditate, let go, quieten, rejuvenate, and find happiness.
